Know what owns what
You do not need to understand the internal containers. These six names are enough.
- Space
- One complete Shimpz installation that runs on infrastructure you control. Shimpz.com runs the shared platform it uses: the Store catalog, Developers publication, these Docs and the installer, and the OAuth broker.
- Team
- An isolated workspace with its own chat, Brain settings, Assistants, Integrations, and files.
- Brain
- The shared reasoning runtime that uses the model configured for a Team to write replies and choose which available Action can help.
- Assistant
- A focused capability installed in one Team.
- Action
- One named, bounded action an Assistant can perform, such as looking up one record.
- Integration
- An OAuth connection you authorize directly with its provider.
How the pieces work together
- You send a message to a Team.
- Its Brain decides whether an installed Assistant Action is useful.
- The controller checks the Action, Team, Integration, scopes, and input.
- The Assistant runs only that Action and returns a validated result.
- The Brain turns the result into the Team's answer.
